The rapid handling of general and bulk cargoes up to handy-sized vessels is guaranteed with the LPS 280. With its maximum load-bearing capacity of up to 84 tonnes, it can also effectively handle containers and heavy loads. Thanks to its space-saving portal solution, the LPS 280 is extremely suitable for compact port environments.

Features may include:

• The design of the portal is customised. This includes: rail spacing, portal height, wheel loads and ladder to the slewing platform.

• Noise protection, windshield wiper, air conditioning. The ergonomic and comfortable features of the cab increase the concentration and reduce the fatigue of the crane operator for consistently high productivity and a high level of safety.

• Buffers are provided at all 4 corners of the portal as collision protection. Visible limit switches can be installed as additional security.

• The Liebherr mobile harbour crane is equipped with the latest generation of diesel engines for the exhaust emissions standards of EU stage IV or EPA Tier 4 final.

• The main supply can be effected via low voltage (400 V) or high voltage (1 kV - 20 kV). The cable drum is secured to the portal and independently takes care of the unwinding and winding of the power cable.
